infinitSpace opens third Dutch flexible workspace location

Tech-led provider of flexible workspaces, infinitSpace, has entered into a management agreement with global investment leader Nuveen Real Estate, one of the world’s largest investment managers with $147 billion of assets under management, to launch its third Dutch flexible workspace location, ‘beyond Gouden Bocht’, in Amsterdam.

Co-founded by workspace expert Wybo Wijnbergen (CEO) and his brother, serial tech entrepreneur Wilco Wijnbergen (CTO), infinitSpace will launch the flexible workspace under its ‘beyond’ brand in Q4 of 2024.

The new workspace is located on the city’s iconic Herengracht canal. Erected in 1666, Herengracht 471 (postcode 1017 BS) is a listed building situated in the canal’s prestigious ‘Gouden Bocht’, or Golden Corner, in the heart of the city’s desirable historic Canal District. It is surrounded by popular restaurants, bars and boutiques, while its city centre location boasts excellent transport links.

Totalling almost 1,000 square metres, the workspace will span three floors of the building, with a mix of coworking space, private offices and meeting rooms. The private offices will be able to service smaller teams from three people up to an entire self-contained floor for 45 people.

infinitSpace will design the new flexible workspace with a high-quality fit-out and equip it with cutting-edge technology, including a workspace management app that connects flexible workspace members across infinitSpace’s global network. The workspace provider will also be responsible for marketing the space, managing memberships and overseeing the ongoing operation of the site.

infinitSpace also has flexible workspace locations in Marathon’s office tower Zuidtoren in Hoofddorp (near Schiphol Airport) and in Amsterdam’s new Republica mixed-use development

Wybo Wijnbergen, CEO and Co-founder of infinitSpace said: “Herengracht is one of Amsterdam’s most iconic and desirable locations, so we’re thrilled that infinitSpace and the beyond brand is soon to become a part of its history and legacy with beyond Gouden Bocht.

“Partnering with such an internationally renowned institution as Nuveen, who have placed their faith in us for this project, is truly an honour. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this exciting partnership.”

Luk Jongsma, Asset Manager at Nuveen Real Estate, commented: “With access to the Reguliersdwarsstraat and its range of colourful venues, an impressive baroque garden and dedicated community services, Gouden Bocht is a high-quality workspace in part of Herengracht’s beautiful and legendary canal houses. Our vision is to be able to offer these amenities to a variety of tenants, ranging from scaled businesses to those just starting out and infinitSpace compliment the exceptional quality and service that we have already established here.”

Following the launch of multiple flexible workspaces across Europe and the UAE since March 2022, beyond Gouden Bocht is infinitSpace’s seventh announced ‘beyond’ location in Europe as it continues to establish itself across the continent. There are also beyond workspaces in London –Aldgate Tower, Kingsbourne House, The Bower complex – and Berlin.
