Independents by Sodexo has secured a new four-year contract, worth £5 million at Clifton College in Bristol, adding cleaning to its existing catering services portfolio.
Established in 1862, Clifton College is one of the largest co-ed schools in the country, attended by 1,450 pupils aged 3 to 18 years and supported by over 600 staff members.
The contract includes the delivery of cleaning services including laundry and domestic services across the whole College estate, including boarding houses, teaching facilities, sports centres and the College theatre.
To optimise student and staff experience, Sodexo is introducing cleaning zones and intelligent self-auditing which it says will drive innovation further by streamlining workflows and improving efficiency.
In 2022, Sodexo retained its current catering and food services contract for a further five years, providing students and colleagues fresh and nutritious food designed to encourage the adoption of a balanced and sustainable diet. Sodexo also remains a key support for the hospitality of the many events and school functions the College hosts throughout the year.
Steve Hawkins, Managing Director, schools for Sodexo UK & Ireland said: “We’re thrilled to expand our partnership further with Clifton College and to support their day-to-day operations. As we know how important a safe and clean environment is to students and colleagues, our team will continue to provide high-quality services that will truly make a positive impact.”
Dr Tim Greene, Head of College and Head Master of the Upper School at Clifton College said: “Independents by Sodexo has been delivering a superb catering provision for everyone across the College since 2017. We very much look forward to strengthening further this partnership by adding their cleaning services. We are certain that they will bring to this area the same level of professionalism and high standards.”
