The Belfast-based facilities management support service provider has been awarded a three-year cleaning services deal with Translink Trains.

The contract will see Mount Charles providing comprehensive cleaning services for Translink’s extensive train fleet, which will enhance service quality and the overall customer experience for the 1.5 million weekly passengers relying on the rail firms services.

A dedicated team of 80 cleaning operatives will work round the clock, 363 days a year, ensuring cleanliness throughout Translink’s extensive train network in Northern Ireland. Stationed at eight regional hubs, Mount Charles’ services will also extend to Enterprise trains connecting Lanyon Station in Belfast to Dublin’s Connolly Station.

Mount Charles says its “extensive experience in delivering top-tier cleaning services” across various sectors, from healthcare to education and leisure, has equipped the company well for this venture. In just the past year, Mount Charles has effectively maintained cleanliness in over 600 sites across Ireland.

Stacey McAlister, Operations Director at Mount Charles, commented: “This is a significant contract for the cleaning division at Mount Charles, which we hope will act as a catalyst for business growth and job creation in Northern Ireland.”

Metro Rod Drainage and Plumbing Survey

Planned, proactive maintenance is a keystone of every FM strategy. However, with current cost constraints, there are many demands on Facilities Managers’ maintenance budgets. When it comes to drainage and plumbing, however, the expense of repairing blockages or dealing with flooding could vastly exceed the cost of preventative maintenance.

Given your role as an FM Professional, we would love to hear your views, challenges & experiences, and opinions on drainage & plumbing within the workplace.

The survey will take just five minutes to complete and offers the chance to win an Amazon Gift Card Worth £100.
