Atlas has created a new Workplace Services arm, which will be formed by fully merging FM business Salisbury into the Atlas group and putting new FM contracts into the new division.
Focused on providing best-in-class facilities management services, the company says this will help define its position as one of the FM sector’s newest and fastest-growing brands. The process of rebranding Salisbury to Atlas Workplace Services is expected to be completed over the coming months.
Salisbury was acquired by the Atlas group in early 2022 in a major move in the UK market. Atlas has since invested in Salisbury and benefited from its technical and engineering maintenance expertise. The deal complemented Atlas’ renowned cleaning and security experience and greatly expanded the range of services being delivered for Atlas’ clients.
In this important step, Atlas is incorporating Salisbury as a new division with established contracts with well-known organisations such as The Royal British Legion, University of London and OVO Energy. Atlas will seek to integrate further contracts into its Workplace Services division, which is being headed by Andrew Lunt.
In his new role as Managing Director of Atlas Workplace Services, Lunt said: “We are delighted to announce the rebranding of Salisbury to Atlas Workplace Services, which is positioned to provide high-quality, integrated FM services to clients across the UK. We are already providing an array of combined hard and soft services, as well as technical expertise for large projects, and our ability to fully leverage the talents of the whole Atlas group, under the Atlas name, puts us in a great position for the future. I’d like to thank all my team and our loyal customers for their support during this important change.”
Chris Wisely, Group Managing Director of Atlas commented: “This is an important and exciting milestone in our history. Our commitment is to create happiness for our customers by providing an ever-better workplace and facility experience. We have benefited from a patient and thoughtful integration of Salisbury into the Atlas family, and we are now set to hugely benefit from the opportunities to grow with both current and future clients.”
