Anabas wins award for safety excellence

The corporate office FM specialist has received an International Safety Award from the British Safety Council for the second year in a row.

Now in its 66th year, The International Safety Awards recognise and celebrate organisations worldwide that have shown their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health.

The award was presented to Anabas’ Account Director, Richard Bostelmann, and the Anabas facilities management team working at media and communications company, WPP, in London’s iconic Sea Containers building. The team effectively showcased their commitment to employee health, building safety, and the prioritisation of health & safety in their day-to-day work.

Bostelmann said of the award: “I’m immensely proud of the Anabas team at Sea Containers. Receiving a distinction for the International Safety Award this year is testament to everyone’s hard work. The team’s diligence regarding processes and procedures enables us to effectively deliver compliant operations in our client’s building and maintain a strong culture of health and safety in all that we do.”

Anabas says it strives to improve processes and embed the highest standards of safety across all its operations by investing extensively in health and safety software, training programmes and external auditing to uphold its safety status.

Tim Hysom, Operations Director at Anabas, added: “Maintaining the highest levels of health and safety is something we champion in our service delivery at Anabas. This recognition from the British Safety Council demonstrates our commitment to keeping our people, and our clients’ people, safe and well in the workplace.”

Navigating FM efforts to sustainability

As environmental protection demands unified action, transparency, and heightened awareness, Biological Preparations has launched an initiative to catalyse sustainability efforts within the FM sector.

FM businesses face unique challenges and heightened expectations of eco-initiatives from their clients. Yet, behind the scenes in FM businesses, many environmental initiatives, rollouts and even planning, are not broadcasted and transparent.

Have your say: Sustainability Trends in FM

The UK biotech company’s five-minute, anonymous FM-focused survey, offers FM professionals of all hierarchies with a platform to voice their perspectives and share their experiences. The results from this survey will then be analysed and presented as an industry-specific report, which aims to guide FM businesses helping them benchmark trends, gain clarity on industry challenges, and map out goals and metrics towards sustainability.
