OCS has formed a strategic joint venture (JV) with Antah Group, a prominent conglomerate with a strong presence in industries including healthcare, power generation, property development, and IT & telecommunications.
The JV, which combines OCS’ extensive global expertise in facilities services with Antah Group’s diverse local investments and market presence, aims to expand OCS’ footprint in the facilities services sector and enhance the delivery of high-quality solutions in Malaysia.
Malaysia is growing to become the hub in Asia for education, data centres, and manufacturing. With the economy developing at rapid speed, both parties believe that they can contribute and play their part in this important phase of development in Malaysia.
The signing of the JV agreement was witnessed by the Minister of Digital, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, underscoring the strategic importance of this collaboration to Malaysia’s digital and economic development.
The new JV will focus on delivering exceptional facilities services, with a particular emphasis on projects within the public sector.
Commenting on the new partnership, Roland Salameh, OCS – Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific & Middle East said: “This joint venture marks an important milestone in our journey to expand our business across Malaysia and strengthen our local footprint. I am excited about the numerous opportunities this partnership will bring and our ability to contribute to Malaysia’s ambitious economic growth and development plans. We share many synergies with Antah Group, including our values, passion for innovation, and respect for people and the environment.”
HH Tunku Alauddin, representing Antah Group, commented: “The collaboration between Antah and OCS signifies a new chapter in our journey towards excellence in facilities services. By leveraging our collective strengths, we are poised to set new benchmarks in service delivery and operational efficiency, thereby contributing significantly to the nation’s economic and digital ambitions.”
Frontline workers form the backbone of facilities management services, serving as the face of the brand and interacting directly with customers. Yet research by both L&G and the Living Wage Foundation reveals the majority feel overlooked and expendable.
Accelerating the problem is a growing technology gap. Despite having 2.7 billion deskless workers worldwide, representing 80 per cent of the global workforce, only one per cent of software and technology investments has been allocated to this segment. This means there is a huge disconnect between frontline workers and their headquarters, leading to lack of sufficient training, communication challenges and low employee retention.
For this webinar, FMJ has teamed up with frontline training platform Lingio to bring together a panel of experts, to discuss how easy-to-use and efficient AI tools can help create engaging and gamified learning experiences that fit the needs of underserved deskless workers. The result? Better software and learning experiences lead to improved staff engagement and reduced staff turnover by up to 95 per cent, according to McKinsey.
