EMCOR UK has been recertified as a Disability Confident Employer until 2027, reaffirming the company’s commitment to creating an inclusive workplace that accommodates the needs of all colleagues, including those with disabilities and neurodivergent conditions.
The recertification was achieved with EMCOR UK demonstrating inclusivity throughout its business operations. For example, accessible recruiting includes a hiring process that contains clearer job descriptions, adjustments to the application process and interview support, helping disabled and neurodivergent people feel more confident in applying for roles within EMCOR UK. The website has also been designed with accessibility in mind, ensuring that anyone researching the company can easily gather the information they need.
More inclusive training programmes and workshops have been implemented to improve development and increase awareness across the business. The methods for requesting adjustments and for providing feedback have also been improved, giving colleagues greater ability to work safely and effectively, and share their own thoughts as they progress throughout their EMCOR UK employment.
EMCOR UK is also committed to working with its supply chain partners and customers in promoting and implementing more accessible, inclusive programs.
Dylan Wickenden, Chief People Officer at EMCOR UK, said: “We take great pride in making EMCOR UK a supportive and welcoming place for everyone. Our recertification as a Disability Confident Employer reflects the positive changes that we’ve been making, and I want to thank everyone involved in making this progress possible. We’re committed to becoming a leader in this space as we continue to foster a collaborative approach in building a workplace where everyone can thrive.”
