International FM provider, OCS Group and SoftBank Robotics Singapore, the APAC arm of a global leader in robotics solutions, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance facilities management with advanced robotics and AI technologies.
This strategic partnership aims to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and sustainability by integrating SoftBank Robotics’ AI and IoT-enabled solutions with OCS Group’s extensive expertise.
The collaboration will leverage SoftBank Robotics’ cutting-edge robotic solutions to streamline cleaning and maintenance operations, ensuring higher efficiency and consistency in service delivery. Both companies are committed to promoting sustainable practices, with robotics integration reducing the environmental impact of FM by optimising resource usage and minimising waste.
Clients will benefit from improved service quality and reliability, as robotics enable more precise and timely maintenance activities, leading to greater customer satisfaction. Additionally, the partnership will address labour shortages in Singapore by deploying robotic solutions for repetitive and physically demanding tasks, supporting the existing workforce and ensuring continuous service delivery. Employees will also gain new technical skills by working alongside advanced robotic systems.
The partnership aligns with the Environmental Services Industry Transformation Map 2025 and the Built Environment Industry Transformation Map, which aim to drive innovation, sustainability, and productivity in the sector. These initiatives are designed to transform the industry by adopting advanced technologies and sustainable practices, ensuring long-term growth and resilience.
Initially, the collaboration will focus on large commercial facilities and shopping malls, enhancing productivity through data-driven facility solutions.
