FM services provider, Atlas, has announced its transition to 100 per cent employee ownership through the creation of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT).
This milestone makes Atlas the first company in the industry to be entirely owned by its employees, which Atlas says sets a “new standard in the sector”.
This transformative step aligns seamlessly with Atlas’s purpose: creating happiness for ourselves and others. By placing full ownership in the hands of its people, Atlas is fostering a culture of shared success, accountability, and empowerment. This change will not only enhance employee engagement but also deliver greater stability, innovation, and service excellence for clients.
While several sale options were explored, the previous owners chose the EOT model to protect Atlas’s values, safeguard its independence, and reward the people who have contributed to its growth and success. This decision ensures Atlas continues to prioritise its people-first approach to facilities management.
Chris Wisely, CEO of Atlas, commented: “Transitioning to 100 per cent employee ownership is a proud and defining moment for Atlas. This move reflects our purpose of creating happiness for ourselves and others by giving every employee a real stake in our success. It strengthens our culture, drives innovation, and deepens our commitment to delivering exceptional service for our clients. We’re thrilled to lead the way in our industry.”
