Acquisition sees Hygiacura expand its footprint in the waste management sector

Facilities management company, Hygiacura Group Limited, has grown its presence in the UK waste management sector with the acquisition of ATS Mini Skips Limited, a waste collection and disposal firm based in Colchester.

ATS Mini Skips, led by Director Thomas Bugg, has established a strong reputation for delivering efficient, customer-focused waste management services to residential and commercial clients throughout the Colchester area.

This move strategically positions Hygiacura to capitalise on the growing demand for sustainable waste management solutions, fueled by the UK government’s ambitious waste reduction and recycling targets. With the UK waste management industry valued at over £11 billion annually, Hygiacura says this acquisition is a significant step forward in the company’s strategic growth plan.

Sacha Jakovljevich, Director of Hygiacura Group Limited, said: “This acquisition marks an exciting chapter for Hygiacura as we expand our footprint in the vital waste management sector. With regulatory pressures and environmental sustainability high on the agenda, this is a perfect time to integrate ATS Mini Skips into our portfolio. We’re ready to help businesses and residents across the region meet the government’s targets for reducing landfill use and increasing recycling rates.”

Thomas Bugg, Director of ATS Mini Skips Limited, added: “We’re proud of what we’ve built at ATS Mini Skips and excited to join the Hygiacura Group. This partnership provides the resources and expertise needed to scale our services and continue delivering exceptional waste management solutions in a rapidly evolving market.”

This move is part of Hygiacura’s broader expansion strategy, which includes an active pipeline of acquisitions aimed at delivering integrated facilities management solutions across the UK. The company is actively seeking opportunities to acquire additional facilities management and waste management businesses to meet rising demand and drive growth.
