Airwaves Facilities Management has won a new contract with West Midlands Police following a competitive tender process.
The contract will see the Berkswell-based firm providing grounds maintenance works throughout the force’s estate in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley and Solihull, including key sites at Tally Ho and Balsall Common.
Airwaves will deliver the contract through its extensive directly employed team of grounds maintenance experts.
As part of its commitment, Airwaves will also work closely with the force to support its extensive social value programme including supporting career workshops, providing apprenticeship opportunities, helping to improve the employability skills of people in the region, and supporting the force’s wide range of activities to engage local communities.
This recent contract follows a string of new client wins for the business. In the past six months, Airwaves Facilities Management has also been appointed to deliver FM services for the Rooftop Housing Association located in Worcestershire, alongside securing numerous other new clients.
Daniel Povey, Director and Founder, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed to this contract and to support West Midlands Police in the upkeep of their grounds across the region. West Midlands Police is the second largest force in the UK and provides vital services to more than three million people in the West Midlands. We are proud to play a part in helping to maintain their facilities and support its workforce and officers in the great work they do for people, communities, and society.”
As environmental protection demands unified action, transparency, and heightened awareness, Biological Preparations has launched an initiative to catalyse sustainability efforts within the FM sector.
FM businesses face unique challenges and heightened expectations of eco-initiatives from their clients. Yet, behind the scenes in FM businesses, many environmental initiatives, rollouts and even planning, are not broadcasted and transparent.
