Hampshire & Isle of Wight’s Fire & Rescue Service and Police & Crime Commissioner has appointed Wates for the delivery of facilities management services at approximately 150 sites.
The new four-year, £1.6 million deal, which comes with an optional four-year extension, will see Wates deliver statutory mechanical and electrical compliance and preventative maintenance services as well as a range of reactive and project works for 61 fire stations and 93 police locations.
As part of Wates’ continued drive to decarbonise the built environment, the team will also work closely with Hampshire and Isle of Wight’s Fire & Rescue Service and Police & Crime Commissioner to identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency across its sites.

The contract adds to Wates’ current portfolio of blue light projects across the UK, which currently includes a range of fire station fit-outs and refurbishments on behalf of Cheshire East Fire & Rescue Service.
