CEF would like to thank its customers and the panel of expert judges who voted in the Electrical Wholesaler Awards 2022, resulting in CEF winning “Best Wholesaler: 26+ Branches” for the second consecutive year.
The award recognised the diversity and innovation in the product range stocked across all CEF’s 391 stores; evidence of its great customer service and various initiatives that CEF has put in place to deal with business and industry challenges.
To help electrical contractors understand the 2nd Amendment changes to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations which came into force in March 2022, CEF delivered 31 live, CPD accredited TechTalk events across the UK and Channel Islands in partnership with the IET.
CEF also launched a brand new Deals Paper to make it easier for customers to find the best prices from the biggest brands. The business has also invested heavily to provide a wider choice of power tools from DeWalt and Milwaukee both online and in-store.
As part of the award submission, CEF also highlighted how colleagues contribute to its charity fundraising. Since 2017, CEF have raised over £475,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and over £360,000 for the Electrical Industries Charity [EIC]. Money has been raised through corporate charity partnerships, employee-led activities and donations on special product purchases.
Managing Director, Chris Ashworth commented: “I’m so proud of all our CEF colleagues who really do go above and beyond to support our customers – without whom we could not have won. We have had great feedback from customers on how our TechTalk events have helped them get to grips with the 18th Edition 2nd amendment changes and will continue to support their learning and business development on our journey to becoming the UK’s leading multi-channel distributor.”
The award was presented as part of a prestigious ceremony at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel, London, hosted by Electrical Wholesaler on October 13, at which the business also secured recognition as ‘Highly Commended’ in the Best Wholesaler Website category.
