Churchill wins 8th consecutive gold award for health and safety

Churchill Group has been awarded a Gold Medal from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for its exemplary health and safety record during the 2023 calendar year.

The Gold Medal is awarded to organisations that have received the RoSPA Gold Award for five – nine consecutive years; this year marks Churchill’s 8th consecutive Gold Award and demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to health and safety excellence and the wellbeing of its people.

The RoSPA Awards programme is celebrating its 68th year as the UK’s largest and most impactful health and safety programme. With almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, impacting over seven million employees, they offer a platform to spotlight an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in health and safety.

Chris Williams, Group QHSE+S Director at Churchill, said: “We are delighted that the fantastic efforts by all our colleagues across our business have once again been recognised by RoSPA. It’s a real source of pride to receive verification from an industry leading body and a great benchmark for us to aspire to each year.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said: “Workplace accidents don’t just pose financial risks and operational disruptions; they significantly impact the quality of life for individuals. This is why acknowledging and rewarding excellent safety performance is vital. We congratulate Churchill Group for winning a prestigious RoSPA Award and showing an unwavering commitment to keeping employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
