Environmental services and resource recovery businesses, Enva, has successfully completed two significant acquisitions in Ireland as part of its targeted growth strategy and to further enhance its ability to create low carbon secondary materials from waste.
Enva has expanded its soil recovery business in Ireland with the acquisition of Walshestown Restoration Limited, a leading restoration and recovery partner dedicated to the sustainable treatment of soils with recovery of sand and gravel from the recycled materials. Based near Naas, Co. Kildare, Walshestown Restoration processes construction and demolition waste, recovering materials to produce certified recycled aggregate, a sustainable alternative to virgin aggregates. This highly complementary acquisition adds important non-hazardous waste soil processing capacity to Enva’s existing strong position in treating hazardous soils.
Additionally, Enva has acquired M&T Plant Hire Limited, an independent Industrial services and organics composting company based in Ballyeden, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, Ireland. Established in 1980, M&T Plant Hire specialises in septic tank emptying, drain cleaning, civil engineering, CCTV surveying, and sludge disposal. The company’s state-of-the-art composting facility enables the recycling of organic waste to produce high-quality compost, strengthening Enva’s Industrial services and organics composting offering.
Enva’s Chief Operating Officer, Roger McDermott, commented: “Both of these acquisitions grow our existing business in Ireland. The increased scale achieved by incorporating these assets will enable us to offer an enhanced portfolio of solutions to manage customer’s waste materials sustainably, supporting our customers with their decarbonisation programmes.”
