Inviron commits to planting one tree for every employee by 2025

Technical facilities service provider, Inviron, has announced a three-year partnership with Make it Wild, a family owned business, founded in 2017, which gives space back to nature across seven locations.

In a bid to plant one tree for every employee by 2025, Inviron has successfully secured a private location which will become its own woodland.

Coinciding with National Tree Week (26 November – 4 December), 12 employees used their Inviron Community Day to visit the site as they set out to plant 350 trees. This was the first of several planting events which have been agreed upon over the next two years.

This new partnership supports Inviron’s ambitions to drive sustainable initiatives across its business. The private woodland will also provide its clients the opportunity to offset their own carbon emissions.

Ashleigh Layton, Head of Social Value at Inviron commented: “When looking for a new partner it was key to choose a business which would allow our employees to visit the site, and have the opportunity to plant trees. After meeting Chris (Make it Wild Co-Founder) several times, I was inspired by his knowledge and passion to support the environment. The team and I had a brilliant time planting the first group of trees. I look forward to the day when we can visit and see that they have significantly grown. We can then look back and feel proud of the woodland which Inviron committed to.”

Christopher Neave, Make it Wild Co-Founder and Director, said: “We’re delighted to be helping Inviron achieve their sustainability objectives. As our tree planting partners they are contributing to making vital, new permanent woodlands for UK wildlife and, at the same time, setting in motion nature’s own solution for mitigating climate change, as their trees will absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow.”
