ISS extends engineering deal with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield

ISS has secured a new three-year agreement with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), the UK’s largest shopping centre portfolio.

The workplace experience and facility management company has collaborated with Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City since 2019, delivering a range of capital projects, mechanical, electrical and fabric engineering based services across the two London flagship centres.

The new contract, which commenced on 1 February 2025, sees ISS continuing to provide those services at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City, while expanding the partnership across Centrale and Whitgift Shopping Centres in Croydon.

The partnership represents a key focus from ISS to continue developing a significant engineering presence across the URW UK portfolio. It will also form a key part of ISS’ commitment to championing sustainable workplaces, using baseline data and our consultancy expertise to further align and add value to URW’s Better Places strategy.

Katie Wyle, Head of Shopping Centre Management at URW, said: “At URW, we’re committed to ensuring our shopping centres operate at the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and experience for our visitors and tenants.

“ISS has been a valued partner in helping us achieve these objectives through innovative, data-driven engineering solutions. This extended contract reflects our confidence in their expertise and our shared ambition to create future-proof retail destinations aligned with our Better Places 2030 strategy.”

Andrew Wilkinson, Chief Operating Officer at ISS UK & Ireland, commented: “Over the last five years of our partnership, we’ve provided Westfield and their shoppers with a sense of assurance and positive experience, through our approach to asset, building and fabric management. Too be able to continue this work for an additional three years exemplifies the importance of the work put in by the ISS team involved in its delivery, and the trust and confidence the client has in our ability to continue to do so.”
