ISS provides education for over 70,000 employees and their families

ISS is accelerating its social commitment to employee development and education. With more than 70,000 ISS certified qualifications given over the past two years, ISS is quickly advancing towards its pledge of empowering 100,000+ employees or their family members through learning activities by the end of 2025.

With 2025 officially begun, ISS announces significant progress towards one of its main social sustainability efforts. By the end of last year, the company provided education to more than 70,000 employees and their family members, exceeding the in-year target.

An ISS recognised qualification is a learning event, experience, or activity that adds value to an individual’s personal or professional life. These qualifications can be tailored, individual courses or specialisations supporting the career progression of aspiring ISS leaders, or broader learning programmes like ‘Education for All’ in ISS India, which provides placemakers with full funding to complete 10th to 12th-grade education.

Liz Benison, Chief People & Transformation Officer at ISS Group said: “At ISS, we believe in the power of education as a vehicle for social change, which is why it is an important part of our social sustainability efforts. By providing recognised qualifications to our employees and their families, we strive to unlock the full potential in every placemaker, empowering them to develop and pursue their dreams. At the same time, we foster more motivated employees, creating greater value for our customers and organisation.

“With so many qualifications granted already, we see no reason to slow down. We are committed to going above and beyond our already ambitious goal of 100,000 qualifications by the end of this year, and we will continue to invest in our people, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to thrive and develop.”
