ISS to mobilise landmark contract with DWP

ISS will begin mobilising its recently awarded seven-year contract with the UK Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) on 1 October 2024, for a scheduled go live in October 2025.

With an anticipated value of around DKK 1.2 billion (£135 million) per year, the contract will see ISS provide integrated facility services, including cleaning, catering, technical services, and workplace experience, to the DWP’s sites across the UK.

ISS says through the delivery of these services, it is committed to supporting the DWP’s Workplace Services Programme by delivering safe, smart and sustainable professional environments that foster collaboration and enable the Department’s wider purpose.

Craig Varian, Director of DWP Estates, said: “Our Workplace Services Programme is the largest such re-procurement in government, creating a facilities management service that is business critical in enabling DWP to function and serve our customers. I am looking forward to the new partnership with ISS and building a collaborative and exciting working relationship.”

Scott Davies, CEO of ISS UK & Ireland, commented: “ISS is honoured to have been awarded this landmark contract with the DWP, marking a significant milestone in our relationship with the UK public sector. This contract underscores the close strategic alignment of our two organisations — particularly our shared commitment to delivering social value for people and communities across Britain. I look forward to the opportunities this partnership presents for both ISS and the DWP as we work together to deliver the Department’s long-term FM ambitions and support their vital services to the UK economy and workforce.”
