ISS has been awarded additional hard and soft FM contracts for the Government Property Agency (GPA) across England, as part of the GPA’s UK-wide workplace services transformation programme. These follow two contracts awarded earlier in June for the provision of security services.
The contract awards follow a robust and comprehensive procurement process via the Crown Commercial Services Facilities Management Marketplace framework (RM 3830), with initial five-year contracts, plus extension options for a maximum of two years.
ISS will deliver hard FM services to the GPA’s North and Central regions, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning maintenance. Soft FM services, which include cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality and catering services, will be delivered by ISS in the South and across London.
Martin Burholt, Chief Operating Officer for Government, Healthcare and Education for ISS UK & Ireland, said:
“ISS and GPA have developed an effective and progressive service partnership over recent years. The award of significant elements of FM services across the impressive government estate is an honour for ISS and part of our continued investment strategy to support central government customers. We embrace and commend the ambitious GPA strategy and are pleased to be a key part of their delivery team into the future.”
With this contract ISS continues to support the GPA’s Workplace Services Transformation Programme (WSTP) which exists to evolve how the Government’s office estate is managed and operated, and ISS will support the Programme’s transformation of workplace services to ensure they are optimised for resilience and business continuity.
Dominic Brankin, Workplace Services Director at the GPA, said:
“The GPA plays a key role in the Government’s transformation agenda. We are working with all government departments to help them deliver their business needs, supported by best-in-class delivery partners to ensure we deliver a transformed, shared, sustainable and value-for-money government estate. We want to use space well and provide a workplace experience which supports civil servants to work productively in every nation and region of the UK.
“We are delighted to award these new contracts as we continue our service transformation to meet the needs of our clients and customers.”
