Logistics software firm under new ownership

Marcus Draper, Director at Zone Manager

A leading logistics software firm is heading in a new direction following a share buyback by one of its directors.

Zone Manager was founded in 2017 and provides site-specific delivery management software to customers across a range of industries, from construction and mixed-use developments to energy sites, retail parks and special events, including COP26.

Marcus Draper has now taken on sole ownership of the company, following the retirement of its co-founder Nick Hoare.

Draper said: “I’m excited by the potential a revitalised Zone Manager has to support businesses across the country, smoothing deliveries, improving site security and maximising resources and site operations.

“Having spent the past nine months on the BetaDen technology accelerator, we now have a clear sense of direction for the business and a range of exciting updates are coming down the line that will improve our offer, making life easier for site- and facilities managers alike.”

Zone Manager’s core software was initially developed for the FMCG market but rapidly became the gold standard for construction project logistics, counting Canary Wharf, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Headingly Stadium, Battersea Power Station Development, and Tottenham Court Road and Blackfriars stations among its customers. Today, the company works with a range of high-profile clients including Mitie, as well as customers as far afield as India and Australia.

Draper continued: “Zone Manager has a proud track record but it is crucial to our ongoing success that we look to the future and build on this success.

“Over the next 12 months, we will be bringing a renewed focus to our work on supporting facilities management customers; helping them manage site-specific deliveries with the same precision and efficiency that has been available to their colleagues in the construction sector for years, all backed up with a strong package of consultancy and ongoing training and support.”

Zone Manager software offers a fully-customisable, multi-area, multi-zone and multi-site capability for managing site deliveries, including an outlook-style scheduler, real-time gate management system, repeat booking functionality and CO2 emissions tracker.
