Often regarded as the ‘fourth utility service’, Metcor Environmental, formerly Metro Mechanical Services, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the UK National Contractor of the Year in the National Drainage Awards.
Daniel Bradley, Business Development Director for the Metcor Group, says: ‘This award, judged by peers in the industry, gives much warranted recognition for the great job that our staff do every day for our customers, often in emergency situations. To reach the finals in our first entry to the competition is a proud testament to our commitment to excellence for our long-standing clients in facilities management and commercial property.”
The National Association of Drainage Contractors (NADC) hold these awards ‘to celebrate the immense and vital contribution the drainage industry makes as the ‘fourth utility’ or emergency service.’ They are dedicated to promoting professionalism and safety throughout the water industry.
Launching the brand in September, the Metcor Group combines three established companies, Metcor Environmental, Anglo Pumps, and Aylesford Electrical, providing expertise across wastewater, clean water, mechanical and electrical engineering.
The NADC Awards night takes place at Charlton Athletic’s 100-year-old ground, The Valley, on November 22nd, with guest host, boxing legend Frank Bruno.
