OCS releases inaugural ESG Impact Report

To mark the UK’s official Net Zero Week, OCS has published its first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Impact Report.

The report underscores OCS’s commitment to transparency and accountability in its ongoing mission to deliver positive impacts on the environment and society. It provides a comprehensive overview of OCS’s sustainability efforts over the past year, and invites the public to explore the depth of the company’s commitment and join in the collective mission to protect our planet.

The recent merger with Atalian Servest’s operations in the UK, Ireland, and Asia has propelled OCS into the ranks of the world’s largest international facilities service provider. This “significant union” says OCS, marks a key step in its journey to become the world’s leading facilities service provider, with ESG at its core.

Highlights from the report are as follows:

A Shared Commitment

As a proud member of the OCS Group, the UK and Ireland team is fully aligned with this mission. The team is committed to facing the challenges ahead and embracing an approach rooted in evidenced action—a commitment to tangible progress. This ethos permeates every facet of the organisation, from the shop floors to the boardrooms.

Setting Ambitious Goals

OCS’s ESG culture has undergone a remarkable evolution since 2023, fuelled by the winds of change in the business landscape. The company has pivoted with purpose, casting a brighter and more ambitious spotlight on integrating sustainability into its corporate DNA.

In line with Net Zero Week, OCS has set a bold goal—to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions across all its UK and Ireland operations by 2040.

Leadership and Strategy

As part of its commitment to ESG principles, OCS has strengthened its ESG team for the UK and Ireland. Its mandate is to elevate the company’s sustainability initiatives to new heights. In 2024, OCS conducted a materiality assessment to guide its ESG strategy, which will be launched later this year. The company is deliberate in identifying the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) it champions and determining where its impact can be most profound.

Reshaping Tomorrow

As stewards of sustainability, OCS is reshaping the contours of responsible management. The company is charting a course that transcends mere profit margins—it’s about making a difference—socially, environmentally, and commercially. The company is forging a future where its legacy is one of stewardship, leaving footprints of positive change across the globe.

Jacky So, OCS UK & Ireland ESG Director said: “The OCS UK&I ESG Impact Report is the first step in our public sustainability reporting journey. Over the next few years, we will ramp up our efforts on ESG reporting as we continuously work on and improve on our non-financial data measurement and performance monitoring. Transparent and robust reporting to all stakeholders is key to ensuring OCS is doing business in the right way.”
