Pinnacle Group, one of the UK’s largest housing services providers, has published its 2024 ESG Impact Report, which highlights major steps in the company’s ESG achievements, including reduced emissions, enhanced employee satisfaction, a more than twofold increase in electric vehicles, and a 30 per cent rise in apprenticeships.
The report covers achievements across four pillars:
- Protect Our Planet
- Community Impact
- Our People and Culture
- Responsible Business
Key successes were found in the ‘Protect Our Planet’ pillar, with a six per cent reduction in total emissions and a 12 per cent reduction in direct emissions since last year. Carbon emissions per employee have also continued to decline, falling by 32 per cent since 2022.
Additionally, the company has significantly increased the number of electric vehicles in its fleet, marking a 127 per cent increase over 12 months and nearly quadrupling in the last two years.
The report also details Pinnacle’s community support efforts, including raising over £10,000 for Combat Stress, £18,000 for a children’s hospice, and supporting over 80 young adults through its career development programme.
In the ‘People & Culture’ area, employee happiness and engagement have increased, with 70 employees enrolled in apprenticeship programmes.
Pinnacle Group Chief Executive, Peregrine Lloyd, said: “Over the past year, we have made positive strides in reducing our environmental footprint, fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace, and ensuring transparency and accountability in our governance structures. These efforts are not just about compliance; they are about leading by example and driving positive change across our industry.
“Our achievements are a direct result of the collective efforts of our wider stakeholders. Together, we have implemented innovative solutions that not only benefit our business but also contribute to the well-being of the communities we serve and the planet.”
