Restore plc acquires Synertec

Nigel Dews, Managing Director at Restore Information Management

Somerset-headquartered document control specialist, Synertec, has been wholly acquired by Restore plc and will form part of the Restore Information Management division.

Restore, a leading provider of information management and secure lifecycle services says the sizeable acquisition of Synertec signals its commitment to extending and growing its digital services capability. The acquisition will allow the business to grow, increase its market share and deliver a wider range of services to corporate customers.

With a 25-year plus record, Synertec is a recognised leader in its field with a £70 million turnover, 300 staff, a strong book of customers including over 150 NHS customers. It provides efficient, and cost-effective ways organisations communicate with their recipients.

Nigel Dews, Managing Director, Restore Information Management commented: “This acquisition enhances our information management offering and enables Restore to offer additional services to our already strong customer base. Given our existing relationships with NHS Trusts, other public sector bodies and corporate customers we are well positioned to be a catalyst for growth.

“We will provide a business-as-usual service for our customers and look forward to bringing the businesses together to further strengthen our offering.”

Tom Baldock, Managing Director, Synertec said: “Over the past 25 years we have achieved significant growth at Synertec and built a strong platform with which to take us to the next level. Finding a company with the right cultural fit was vitally important to us and I’m pleased to say that we believe we have found that in Restore. I’m genuinely excited to see what Synertec and Restore Information Management can achieve together over the next few years.”
