SBFM celebrates two Yorkshire Excellence in HR Awards

The soft facilities management firm has won the Excellence in Inclusivity and Diversity Award and Purpose Beyond Profit Award at the Yorkshire Excellence in HR Awards, for its dedication towards inclusive, sustainable employment opportunities for frontline FM workers.

In its inaugural year, the Yorkshire Excellence in HR Awards, developed by legal firm Clarion in Leeds, recognises the outstanding achievements and contributions of HR professionals across Yorkshire. The awards launched with 12 categories.

For the Excellence in Inclusivity and Diversity Award, the judges were impressed by SBFM’s inclusive work environment for colleagues as well as its effective partnerships with clients, and its collaboration with competitors to make improvements to the industry as a whole. SBFM was recognised for creating environments where every team member is seen, heard, valued and respected, and supported by a culture of equity and care.

The Purpose Beyond Profit award recognises organisations that excel in fostering a sense of purpose among employees. SBFM won this award through demonstrating clarity of vision and purpose that went beyond the services that they deliver, with an unwavering commitment to driving positive change and social impact with its Evolve programme. Evolve is dedicated to providing sustainable employment opportunities and support for people from disadvantaged groups, and raising individuals above the poverty line.
