Reuse expert Ramco has appointed Samantha Gillespie as Senior Business Development Executive.
Gillespie, who has more than 25 years’ experience of working with SMEs and collaborating with major organisations such as Serco, CBRE, Sainsbury’s, the NHS, and universities and colleges, joins Ramco at a time when the second-hand market has seen incredible growth and demand for pre-loved products at Ramco’s auctions is at a peak.
Speaking about the appointment, Teddy Townsend, Ramco’s Business Development Manager, said: “At Ramco we pride ourselves on taking our clients’ headaches away – we offer a full and tailored reuse solution helping businesses unlock precious value in equipment they no longer need. We handle everything from decommissioning, collection, and refurbishment, right through to storage, marketing, and sales.
“Sam brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for helping clients, making her a valuable addition to the Ramco family. She’ll be supporting our clients to make more of their redundant equipment – reducing their carbon footprint, minimising storage costs and generating a financial return from resale.”
Gillespie said: “I’m thrilled to join Ramco, and at such an exciting time too. With the circular economy gaining momentum and businesses accelerating their sustainability agendas in a race to net zero, Ramco’s mission to give every surplus asset a new lease of life is more important than ever.”
Planned, proactive maintenance is a keystone of every FM strategy. However, with current cost constraints, there are many demands on Facilities Managers’ maintenance budgets. When it comes to drainage and plumbing, however, the expense of repairing blockages or dealing with flooding could vastly exceed the cost of preventative maintenance.
Given your role as an FM Professional, we would love to hear your views, challenges & experiences, and opinions on drainage & plumbing within the workplace.
