SFMI to launch 2025 Programme in May webinar

The Sustainable Facilities Management Index (SFMI) will unveil its 2025 Programme during a webinar on 15 May at 10am. This event offers professionals in the built environment the opportunity to explore the key findings from the 2024 assessments, and hear all about the SFMI’s roadmap for driving sustainability in the sector.

Last year’s assessments revealed four key themes shaping FM in 2024 and beyond:

  • Decarbonisation: FM leaders are transforming emissions reduction from a compliance requirement into a revenue-generating service. From EV infrastructure to climate risk mapping, providers are building scalable, client-facing decarbonisation solutions.
  • Wellbeing: Beyond health and safety, FMs are embedding wellbeing into sustainability strategies, recognising its role in staff retention, engagement, and workplace culture. New approaches are addressing issues like neurodivergence, sleep health, and menopause.
  • Social value: FM’s are turning purpose into profit by delivering social impact through employment initiatives, community engagement, and inclusive recruitment. Real-time ESG dashboards and impact tracking are helping firms measure and communicate these outcomes effectively.
  • Risks & Opportunities: As sustainability-related risks increase, the most successful FM providers are using them as a springboard for innovation. Climate risk assessments, Scope 3 emissions strategies, and supply chain improvements are now integrated into ESG-led business models.

The Launch Webinar will introduce the SFMI and offer insights into this year’s programme, including the key focus areas for the 2025 assessment cycle.

Register here for the webinar on 15 May, 2025 at 10am (BST).
