United Living signs Armed Forces Covenant

United Living Group, a provider of infrastructure, affordable housing, property services, and telecoms, has signed the Armed Forces Covenant to reaffirm its commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.

The Covenant is a voluntary pledge that acknowledges the sacrifices made by those who serve in the UK Armed Forces and commits to support the welfare, employment and education of the armed forces community and their families, whilst promoting the skills and qualities that military personnel can bring to the workplace.

United Living joins more than 12,000 organisations across a wide range of sectors including education, manufacturing, the charity sector, hospitality, retail, and financial services.

Neil Armstrong, Chairman and CEO of United Living Group commented: “United Living Group is proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and support those who have served in the military and their families. With more than 80 veterans in our business currently, we recognise the valuable contribution in terms of skills and values that employees from military backgrounds make across our business and within the community.

“We are committed to attracting a more diverse workforce into the infrastructure, housing and construction sectors and address the ever-growing skills gap. We want to provide every opportunity for military personnel to bring their expertise into a rewarding career at United Living Group.”

On 8 October 2024, Armstrong was joined by Lieutenant Antonio Valente, Assistant Naval Regional Command, Strat Plans; Lieutenant Colonel Kenny Nixon, Commanding Officer, 75 Engineers; Wing Commander Martin Morris, AIR Regional Employer Engagement Officer, North-West at United Living Group, Lingley Mere Business Park, Warrington, Cheshire to mark the signing.
