Global pest control specialist Rollins Inc has become the number two player in the UK with its latest acquisition of Beaver Pest Control.
London-based Beaver Pest Control has been bought by Rollins’ UK subsidiary Orkin UK for an undisclosed sum. This is the third acquisition the team has completed this year and followed significant market interest in acquiring Beaver.
Established in 1990, Beaver is one of the UK’s largest regional pest control companies employing 92 people in its pest, wildlife management and drainage proofing divisions. The deal expands Orkin UK to over 450 employees and significantly increases its presence in London and the surrounding areas.
Commenting on the acquisition, Orkin UK Managing Director, Kristian Dales said: “The purchase of Beaver Pest Control is part of our strategy to establish Orkin UK as the UK’s leading pest control provider through a series of strategic acquisitions and service innovations.
“In the last eight years Orkin UK has doubled in size and then doubled again. This deal increases our turnover to £43 million, secures our position as the country’s second largest service provider and puts us well on track to achieve our ambitious business plan by 2027.”
He added: “Beavers’ people, skills, and expertise, along with the strength we have within the existing business presents a fantastic opportunity to provide enhanced service offerings to our clients and to increase our market penetration.”
This is the third deal completed by Orkin UK within the last 12 months. In March it announced it had bought Kent-based Bird & Pest Solutions Limited (BPS) and in February 2024 its specialist Legionella brand Guardian Legionella Services acquired Derby-based Descale and Chlorination Services.
