The Bedford Estates has agreed terms with premium commercial amenity and workspace provider x+why to occupy 21,500 sq ft of Bloomsbury House in Central London. The partnership with x+why will be the first time The Bedford Estates has entered into a management agreement.
Located at 74 – 77 Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury House is a historic landmark, built in the reign of Charles II (1660-85) and most recently the home of publishing house Faber & Faber. It comprises of four stucco fronted, meticulously refurbished and interconnected Georgian townhouses complimented by a modern annex and a private garden, in the heart of Bloomsbury. They are amongst the oldest properties on the Estate and are highly valued because of their architectural and historic interest.
Due to open in Spring 2025, x+why’s offering at Bloomsbury House will include a mix of private offices for teams of six to 70 people as well as open plan co-workspaces, boardrooms, conference facilities and break out spaces. The energy efficient, fully accessible building will include extensive shower facilities, kitchens, internal and external cycle storage and access to delightful, landscaped gardens. Located at the epicentre of its portfolio, Bloomsbury House will be available for use by other tenants of The Bedford Estate.
