 ASSA ABLOY LAUNCHES NEW AUTOMATIC
 RESTRAINT SYSTEM
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is helping to make loading bays safer with the
introduction of the new DE6190AR Automatic Restraint System. The new restraint
minimises the risk of accident and injury by preventing unplanned vehicle
 movement during the loading process.
The DE6190AR Automatic Restraint System has a cylindrical blocking arm
 which traps the trailer wheel,
 providing two key safety
 advantages: vehicle creep is
 eliminated, and the vehicle
 cannot pull away before the
 loading process is entirely
 complete and is cleared
 to depart. The patented
 hydraulic system applies a
 constant restraining force
 during loading operations,
 o ering reliable security.
Compatible with a wide range of vehicles, the ASSA ABLOY DE6190AR
Automatic Restraint System also features an enhanced, patented retractable
detection arm, which tucks neatly into position alongside the moving unit when
not in use, preventing damage to the detection arm and trailer tail li units.
Ensuring safety at loading bays should not be di icult and the ASSA ABLOY
DE6190AR Automatic Restraint System o ers an easy to install solution. It
requires minimal building preparation, limited internal space, and connecting it
to the operating control box is simple, as just one point of connection is needed
 from the outside.

 ADVANCED ENSURES PASSENGER
 SAFETY AT LONDON BRIDGE STATION
48 million UK commuters and 80 new businesses
who travel and operate within London Bridge
Station each year are now protected by MxPro 5
fire panels from fire systems leader Advanced.
London Bridge Station, the fourth busiest station
in the UK, has undergone a high-profile £1 billion
redevelopment that has seen passenger capacity
almost double. The five-year redevelopment, the
biggest rail infrastructure transformation in over
a century, was directed by operators Network Rail
and has seen the construction of a 15-platform
street-level concourse longer than the Shard -
another London landmark protected by Advanced
 fire panels.
MxPro 5 is the company’s highest performance
analogue addressable panel, approved to EN54
parts 2, 4 and 13 o ering four detector protocols and
a completely open installer network that enjoys free
training and support. MxPro panels can be used in
single loop, single panel format or easily configured
into multi-loop, high speed, 200 panel networks
covering huge areas and thousands of field devices.
 Amanda Hope, UK Business Development
 Manager for Advanced, commented: “London
Bridge Station is one of the capital’s most important
transport hubs and a high-quality and reliable fire
system capable of meeting the complexities of the
site and protecting occupants is essential. We are
proud to have our British made products installed in
 such an established London landmark.”
Advanced are members of the Rail Industry Fire
Association (RIFA) and have panels installed in a
number of other rail-related buildings, including
the Tottenham Court Road Crossrail station, almost
100 London Underground stations, the Hitachi Rail
Europe factory in Newton Aycli e and the Tyne &
 Wear Metro.
 Lewis Atherton, Programme Manager, from
Network Rail, said: “As a vital transport hub for
commuters and visitors travelling into London,
safety has been a key consideration throughout the
development process of London Bridge Station in
order for passengers to make their connections as
smoothly, e iciently and enjoyably as possible.
“As well as the major track upgrade, a new rail
underpass and platform widenings and extensions,
the station now also includes almost 100 new shops,
cafes and restaurants. With their proven track record
of managing fire safety within the railway industry
we felt entirely confident in the solutions Advanced
 o ered.”
